Jonas Carping

Jonas Carping is a Swedish oil painter based in the south of Sweden. His work focuses mainly on landscape, through both full colour and a reduced palette — black, white, and a deep blue-black that captures something of the silence and stillness of the Swedish countryside.

His debut series, Värmland, draws from the forests, lakes and open skies of one of Sweden's most rural counties.
